Kathy Nesper, CCE, CD(DONA)
President
Kathy's passion to help couples encounter God in childbirth led to her role as co-founder and president of ATFM. She is a certified childbirth educator and certified birth doula who has trained and supported new parents since 1977, soon after the birth of her first child. Kathy is co-author or editor of ATFM’s publications and has written for others, including Childbirth Instructor magazine, Spero News, and Mutuality. She has spoken to the American College of Nurse-Midwives, National Family Ministries Conference, California Association of Midwives, Christian Midwives International, Trust Birth Conference, La Leche League, and others.
Kathy and her husband, D.W., have been married since 1972 and are parents and parents-in-law to three sons and their wives: Zac and Ellen, Preston and Angie, and Tyler and Samantha. Kathy and D.W. live in Southern California and delight in being grandparents.

Lynn Johnson, CCE, IBCLC
Vice-President & Director of Education
Lynn's experience as a parent eduction coordinator and lactation consultant on a hospital staff and as past director of the residential program at a home for unmarried mothers qualifies her to address the needs of parents and babies in a wide range of circumstances. She is a certified childbirth educator and International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) who has provided labor assistance and breastfeeding support for hundreds of parents in various settings.
Lynn lives in Central California. She and her husband, Loren, were married in 1975, and he passed away in 2010. Their children are Kati and husband Justin, and Rodney and wife Anne. Lynn also greatly enjoys her role as grandma.
Anita Butler, IBCLC, HBCE, CD(DONA)
Assistant Director of Childbirth Education
Anita Butler also brings a wide range of experience to her work with ATFM. As a dual-certified childbirth educator, she teaches both ATFM Christian classes and secular classes. She is a practicing birth and postpartum doula who provides labor and after-birth assistance, and has worked as a midwife’s assistant. Anita has provided lactation counseling for a county breastfeeding organization and for the federal Women, Infants & Children program (WIC).
Anita has three adult children: Justin, Jennifer, and Nicholas. She and her husband, Kevin, were married in 1986.
